This is my guide to concrete. Concrete may not seem like a very sexy subject to write about but I hope that by the time you reach the end of this blog, you will have been inspired to use concrete to improve your home. Concrete isn't just for driveways and walls. You can use concrete in a lot of pretty creative ways around your home. I discovered this when I hired a team of concrete contractors. They were really great guys and while they were completing work around my home they taught me lots of cool things about working with concrete. I hope you enjoy this blog!
How much concrete will you need for your new commercial construction project? Concrete is a basic building material, so it is probable that you will need a large amount of concrete and that the concrete will be spread out over a fairly wide area of the site. In this situation, the most effective way of laying the concrete that you need is through commercial concrete pumping. Here are four reasons why commercial concrete pumping is the best solution for your construction site.
Less labour-intensive
Traditional methods of pouring concrete involve mixing the concrete in one location and then transporting it by wheelbarrow or another method to the part of the site where it will be used. This approach is highly labour intensive, requiring large numbers of labourers to mix, transport and then pour the concrete into the required location. Using lots of workers means additional expense for your company since all of those workers must be taken off of other important jobs and used to ferry the concrete around your site. With commercial concrete pumping, a crew of only a few workers can park the truck, layout the hose and direct the concrete exactly where it is needed.
Faster operation
Instead of relying on the delivery of concrete by wheelbarrow, commercial concrete pumping delivers the concrete straight from the truck, along with the hose to the desired location. While this delivery system is quicker than other techniques, the real benefits can be seen in that all of the other workers on your site are free to carry on with their normal jobs while the concrete is being poured, meaning that your entire project can more easily stay on schedule.
Less wasteful
When mixing and transporting concrete manually, there is always some waste. Concrete is lost as it is transferred from the mixer to the wheelbarrow, during transport and also while it is being poured. There is generally also some excess concrete which is mixed but not used. When using commercial concrete pouring, none of these things apply. The concrete is pumped via a hose into the right place and, in most cases, you only pay for the concrete you actually use so no concrete is wasted at all.
Stronger concrete is created
Perhaps the greatest argument in favour of using commercial concrete pumping is that the concrete created by this method is stronger and less prone to cracking or shrinking. Pumped concrete will normally require less maintenance or repair in the future than concrete poured by traditional methods.
So next time you need concrete poured, consider using commercial concrete pumping services.
